Our Vision

We strive to make sure children and their parents have happy and healthy homes where they can be emotionally, physically, and psychologically free from abuse and manipulation.

Our Strategy

We begin each case with the end in mind and approach every situation as if it is going to trial. We are committed to advocating for our clients and their best interests by providing a safe space and refuge throughout their case.

Our Passion

For Jessica, family law is a calling to protect and empower families. As a former general counsel, she was thrust into family law when her own child revealed abuse by the other parent. Jessica understands the isolation parents often feel and strives to make sure her clients feel heard, supported, and prepared.

FAQ

At Thaler Law, our consultation is designed to be a safe, informative, and productive step forward. During your initial meeting, we will listen to your story, gather relevant details, and discuss the issues you are facing. You can expect us to review the main aspects of your case, explain applicable laws, and outline potential legal strategies tailored to your situation. This is also a chance for you to ask any questions you have about the legal process, our services, and what steps may follow.

We approach every consultation with empathy, discretion, and professionalism, ensuring that you feel supported and fully informed. This session is an opportunity to start planning a path forward with clarity and confidence.

The cost of a case at Thaler Law depends on several factors, including the complexity of your situation, the time required, and specific legal actions needed. During your consultation, we’ll provide a transparent overview of anticipated costs, explaining the fee structure and any foreseeable expenses related to your case.

While it is often difficult to provide an exact figure upfront, we are committed to clear communication around costs as your case progresses, to make sure there are no surprises. Our goal is to offer you high-quality legal support while helping you make informed decisions that align with your budget and needs.

In Texas, spouses generally share equal rights to assets acquired during the marriage, including bank accounts and credit cards, regardless of which spouse is the primary earner. Texas follows “community property” laws, which means that most income and assets gained during the marriage are jointly owned. This typically grants both spouses the right to access and use marital funds, even if accounts are in only one spouse’s name.

However, certain assets may be classified as “separate property,” such as those acquired before the marriage or through gifts or inheritances specifically to one spouse. Separate property is generally not subject to division; therefore you would not have access to these funds or property. During a consultation, we can explain how these laws apply to your specific circumstances and advise on any steps needed to safeguard your financial rights.
